Maverick's config-level allowlist is the source of truth for which of Stripe's advertised tools are visible to the assistant.\n\n**Step 1 — Discover the live tool catalog and any server-published usage instructions.** Always run this first; do not rely on tool names from memory:\n\n```sh\nmcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json list maverick-stripe-mcp --schema\n```\n\nThe output includes the server's `Instructions:` field, if published, and a JSON Schema for every tool's parameters. Treat this as the authoritative reference for the rest of the session.\n\n**Step 2 — Call an allowlisted read tool** using the form `maverick-stripe-mcp.<tool>`:\n\n```sh\nmcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json call maverick-stripe-mcp.<tool> <arg>=<value> ...\n```\n\nAdd `--output json` for structured output and transport-error envelopes:\n\n```sh\nmcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json call --output json maverick-stripe-mcp.<tool> ...\n```\n\n## Safety\n\nThe exposed tool set is intentionally read-only. `stripe_api_write`, `create_refund`, the mixed read/write `stripe_report`, `send_stripe_mcp_feedback`, and the Treasury-preview `get_balance_summary` are invisible at the mcporter protocol layer. Refunds, subscriptions, invoices, payment links, customer/payment mutations, and every other write remain unavailable until Maverick has a real execution-time approval gate.\n\n`stripe_api_read` is documented as GET-only, but it accepts broad Stripe API paths and may reach preview GET endpoints. mcporter filters exact tool names, not tool arguments, so do not describe this allowlist as a resource-path restriction.\n\nUse Stripe sandbox for validation and confirm the selected Stripe environment before account-data reads. The broker does not persist sandbox/live mode, so local authorization or sync state proves neither environment. Sandbox and live MCP authorizations are separate; never infer one from the other or switch environments without the user's explicit intent.\n\n## Authentication\n\nOrdinary single-account authorization uses Stripe's MCP-native OAuth flow: protected-resource discovery, dynamic public-client registration, Authorization Code with PKCE S256, and refresh tokens. Credentials are provisioned by `scripts/setup.sh` into mcporter's local vault; mcporter sends and refreshes the resource-bound bearer token for the official remote MCP.\n\nSetup needs `bash`, `jq`, `basename`, and `mcporter` (>= v0.11.0). Run setup only after fresh authorization or credential rotation. Re-running it with stale values can overwrite a refresh token already rotated in the vault.\n\nDashboard revocation is user-visible and invalidates the remote grant. Maverick does not currently receive a provider-revocation callback, so its local grant can remain `active`/`synced` until a remote call fails or the user disconnects. Those local states prove only that authorization was saved and the bundle/credential projection succeeded; they are not evidence that Stripe remains authorized.\n\nStripe Connect connected-account operations are a separate exception. They require a restricted key plus `Stripe-Account` context and must never be described as MCP-native OAuth. This bundle does not implement or expose that path.\n\n## References\n\n- Stripe MCP overview and OAuth notes: <https://docs.stripe.com/mcp>\n- Model Context Protocol authorization: <https://modelcontextprotocol.io/specification/2025-11-25/basic/authorization>\n- Stripe restricted API keys: <https://docs.stripe.com/keys/restricted-api-keys>\n- mcporter config reference: <https://github.com/openclaw/mcporter/blob/main/docs/config.md>\n\nFile v1.0.4:_meta.json\n\n{\n \"ownerId\": \"kn734qkn0pkds34pv28ksc0p7h81ha6e\",\n \"slug\": \"maverick-stripe-mcp\",\n \"version\": \"1.0.4\",\n \"publishedAt\": 1785919110633\n}\n\nFile v1.0.4:skill-card.md\n\n## Description:\n\nSearch and read ordinary single-account Stripe data through Stripe's official remote MCP with MCP-native OAuth, with a config-level allowlist hiding write, mixed, feedback, and preview-only top-level tools.\n\nThis skill is ready for commercial/non-commercial use.\n\n## Publisher:\n\n[maverick](https://clawhub.ai/user/maverick)\n\n### License/Terms of Use:\n\nMIT-0\n\n## Use Case:\n\nDevelopers and operators use this skill to inspect Stripe payments, customers, invoices, subscriptions, account context, and documentation through allowlisted read-oriented MCP tools. The live server is the source of truth for what tools exist, what they're called, what arguments they take, and any per-server instructions the server publishes.\n\n**Step 1 — Discover the live tool catalog and any server-published usage instructions.** Always run this first; do not rely on tool names from memory:\n\n```sh\nmcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json list maverick-stripe-mcp --schema\n```\n\nThe output includes the server's `Instructions:` field, if published, and a JSON Schema for every tool's parameters. Confirm explicit user intent before any write-capable call, use restricted credentials where possible, and inspect current object state before changing it.\n\n## Authentication\n\nThis skill expects `MAVERICK_STRIPE_MCP_ACCESS_TOKEN` to be set in the agent runtime environment. mcporter sends it as `Authorization: Bearer <value>` on every request.\n\nIf calls fail with auth errors, the token is invalid or revoked - re-issue and re-set `MAVERICK_STRIPE_MCP_ACCESS_TOKEN`. There is no automatic refresh; bearer tokens are static.\n\nFor agentic software, Stripe documents bearer authentication with a Stripe API key and recommends restricted API keys for least privilege. The wrapper seeds the OAuth vault from the env-supplied tokens when needed, then calls `mcporter`.\n\n```sh\nbash {baseDir}/scripts/invoke.sh list maverick-stripe --schema\n```\n\nFor structured output (also surfaces transport errors as JSON envelopes — workaround for mcporter [#153](https://github.com/steipete/mcporter/issues/153)):\n\n```sh\nbash {baseDir}/scripts/invoke.sh call --output json maverick-stripe.TOOL_NAME key=value | jq '.result.content'\n```\n\n## Safety\n\nWrite operations that create invoices, refunds, subscriptions, prices, payment links, customers, products, or other money/customer-affecting records modify real Stripe account data. Confirm clear user intent before invoking write tools — search and read tools are safe to call freely while exploring. Search or list relevant objects before assuming IDs, and read object details before any write that affects money, customers, invoices, refunds, or subscriptions.\n\n## Authentication\n\nTokens are provisioned and rotated automatically. If a call returns HTTP 401 that doesn't recover within a few seconds, the OAuth grant has been revoked — re-authorize the integration to refresh credentials.\n\n## Data flow\n\nTool calls travel to Stripe's hosted MCP service at `https://mcp.stripe.com/` over HTTPS, authenticated via OAuth. Stripe sees the payment, customer, product, price, invoice, subscription, refund, and balance data referenced by each call. Use this skill for Stripe-related work only; do not pass unrelated sensitive content through these tools.\n\n## Dependencies\n\n- **`mcporter`** ([github.com/steipete/mcporter](https://github.com/steipete/mcporter)) — MCP CLI used to invoke Stripe's hosted MCP server. Auto-installed via `npm install -g --ignore-scripts mcporter` if missing on PATH (see `install` spec in frontmatter). The install spec uses unpinned `mcporter` (npm `latest`); operators with strict supply-chain controls should override the install to pin a specific version (e.g. `mcporter@<version>`).\n- **`jq`** ([stedolan.github.io/jq](https://stedolan.github.io/jq/)) — JSON processor used by the vault initializer. System dependency; install via your OS package manager (`apt install jq`, `brew install jq`, etc.).\n- **`flock`** (part of [util-linux](https://github.com/util-linux/util-linux)) — file locking used to serialize concurrent vault writes. Available by default on Linux; on macOS install via `brew install flock`.\n- **`shasum`** (Perl, ships with [`Digest::SHA`](https://metacpan.org/pod/Digest::SHA)) — computes the SHA-256 hashes used to derive the mcporter vault key and the provisioned-token marker. Preinstalled on macOS and on Debian/Ubuntu (incl. the deployed `cloudflare/sandbox` Ubuntu 22.04 image); on minimal Linux images install `perl-Digest-SHA`. The script invokes `shasum -a 256` rather than GNU `sha256sum` so it runs on stock macOS without `coreutils`.\n\nFile v1.0.0:_meta.json\n\n{\n \"ownerId\": \"kn734qkn0pkds34pv28ksc0p7h81ha6e\",\n \"slug\": \"maverick-stripe-mcp\",\n \"version\": \"1.0.0\",\n \"publishedAt\": 1778007053311\n}\n\nFile v1.0.0:mcporter.json\n\n{\n \"imports\": [],\n \"mcpServers\": {\n \"maverick-stripe\": {\n \"baseUrl\": \"https://mcp.stripe.com/\",\n \"transport\": \"http\",\n \"auth\": \"oauth\"\n }\n }\n}\n\nFile v1.0.0:agents/openai.yaml\n\ninterface:\n display_name: \"Stripe\"\n short_description: \"Read and update Stripe payments, customers, invoices, and subscriptions\"\n default_prompt: \"Use the Stripe MCP tools to help the user inspect payment data, manage customers and products, create invoices or payment links, and review account balances.\"","readmeExcerpt":"Skill: Stripe Owner: maverick Summary: Safely inspect Stripe payments, customers, invoices, and subscriptions Tags: latest:1.0.4 Version history: v1.0.4 | 2026-08-05T08:38:30.633Z | user Migrate Stripe to official remote MCP OAuth v1.0.3 | 2026-05-21T10:05:28.152Z | user Convert skill metadata frontmatter to YAML v1.0.2 | 2026-05-17T17:00:12.927Z | user Update mcporter setup and invocation contracts v1.0.1 | 2026-05-","codeSnippets":[],"executableExamples":[{"language":"sh","snippet":"mcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json list maverick-stripe-mcp --schema"},{"language":"sh","snippet":"mcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json call maverick-stripe-mcp.<tool> <arg>=<value> ..."},{"language":"sh","snippet":"mcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json call --output json maverick-stripe-mcp.<tool> ..."},{"language":"sh","snippet":"mcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json list maverick-stripe-mcp --schema"},{"language":"sh","snippet":"mcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json call maverick-stripe-mcp.<tool> <arg>=<value> ..."},{"language":"sh","snippet":"mcporter --config {baseDir}/mcporter.json call --output json maverick-stripe-mcp.<tool> ..."}],"parameters":null,"dependencies":[],"permissions":[],"extractedFiles":[{"path":"SKILL.md","content":"---\nname: maverick-stripe-mcp\ndescription: Search and read ordinary single-account Stripe data through Stripe's official remote MCP with MCP-native OAuth.
