Release 1.5.4release
Fix manifest updateUrl: now points at Thetanuts-Finance/thetanuts-openclaw (canonical) and the correct filename scripts/update.sh. v1.5.3 had both wrong org (legacy fork) and wrong filename (update-from-manifest.sh — does not exist), making manifest-driven updates 404. No skill code or SDK changes vs 1.5.3.

Setup complexity: low.
clawhub skill install s175jhk385dyt0nf67dscfct5x83n12p:thetanuts- Setup complexity is classified as HIGH. You must provision dedicated cloud infrastructure or an isolated VM. Do not run this directly on your local workstation.
- Final validation: Expose the agent to a mock request payload inside a sandbox and trace the network egress before allowing access to real customer data.
Contract: missing

## First-Time Setup (Onboarding Flow)
### Startup Checks
On a new conversation the agent should:
```
Step 1: Check wallet status (read-only, safe to run automatically)
└─> node scripts/wallet-discover.js
Step 2: Interpret the result:
- configured: false → Enter ONBOARDING MODE
- configured: true → Greet user with their address, proceed normally
```
### Updates (User-Initiated Only)
The agent must NEVER run `update.sh` automatically. Updates change code that signs
transactions, so they require explicit user consent each time.
When the user asks to check for or apply updates:
- Run `bash scripts/update.sh` and surface the full output to the user.
- If a new version is available, summarize the diff/changelog and ask the user
to confirm before applying.
- If already up to date, say so explicitly. Do not run code-changing commands
silently.
### Onboarding Mode (No Wallet Detected)
When no wallet is configured, guide the user through setup in this order:
```
No wallet detected
# Thetanuts OpenClaw Skill OpenClaw skill for trading crypto options on [Thetanuts Finance](https://thetanuts.finance) with integrated wallet management. ## For AI Agents The agent instruction set lives in the locally installed `SKILL.md` (the file ClawHub places next to this README). Read it from the install directory — do not fetch it from the internet, since remote files can change after install and ClawHub's security review only covers the published artifact. `SKILL.md` contains the complete agent instruction set: onboarding flows, trading workflows, strategy recommendation logic, risk-tiered decision trees, SDK reference, contract addresses, and example conversations. Read it fully before assisting users. ## Features - **Wallet Management**: Create and import EVM/Solana wallets using Tether WDK - **Balance Queries**: Check native (ETH/SOL) and token balances (USDC, WETH, cbBTC) - **Transaction Execution**: Approve tokens and send transactions directly - **Options Trading**: Orderbook fills, RFQ lifecycle, MM pricing, multi-strike structures (spreads, butterflies, condors) - **Position Tracking**: Check user positions, calculate payoffs, portfolio ROI - **Market Intelligence**: News-informed strategy recommendations with risk-tiered suggestions ## Prerequisites - [OpenClaw](https://docs.openclaw.ai/) installed and running - Node.js >= 18.0.0 ## Installation ### Option A: Install from ClawHub (recommended) ```bash clawhub install thetanuts ``` Then skip to Step 2 below. View on ClawHub: [clawhub.ai/goheesheng/thetanuts](https://clawhub.ai/goheesheng/thetanuts) ### Option B: Clone from GitHub ```bash cd ~/.openclaw/workspace/skills git clone https://github.com/goheesheng/thetanuts-openclaw.git thetanuts ``` ### Step 2: Run Onboarding ```bash cd ~/.openclaw/workspace/skills/thetanuts bash scripts/onboard.sh ``` This will: - Check prerequisites (node, npm) - Create WDK MCP runtime at `~/.openclaw/wdk-mcp` - Install project dependencies (for wallet scripts like `wallet-create.js`) - Install WDK MCP runtime dependencies ### Step 3: Create or Import Wallet ```bash # Create new dedicated wallet node scripts/wallet-create.js # Or import existing seed node scripts/wallet-import.js --seed-file /path/to/seed.txt ``` **⚠️ IMPORTANT**: Use a DEDICATED wallet for this integration. Never reuse your primary wallet seed phrase. Write your seed phrase on paper and store it offline (not in a text file, not in a chat, not in email). ### Step 4: Reload OpenClaw Start a new session to load the skill: ``` /new ``` The agent will automatically detect your wallet, show your address and balances, and display current ETH/BTC option prices. You're ready to trade. ### Step 5: Fund Your Wallet Before trading, you need tokens on Base network: - **ETH** (gas fees) - Bridge via [bridge.base.org](https://bridge.base.org) - **USDC** (for PUT options) - `0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913` - **WETH** (for CALL options) - `0x4200000000000000000
# Thetanuts OpenClaw Skill
## Project Structure
- `SKILL.md` - Agent instruction set (loaded by OpenClaw, 1800 lines)
- `scripts/*.js` - Wallet management scripts (run with `node`)
- `scripts/*.ts` - Trading scripts (run with `npx tsx`)
- `scripts/onboard.sh` - Installs deps at project root AND `~/.openclaw/wdk-mcp/`
- `manifest.json` - ClawHub publishing metadata
## SDK Quirks (@thetanuts-finance/thetanuts-client, ^0.2.4)
- `client.erc20.approve()` returns a TransactionReceipt, NOT TransactionResponse. Do not call `.wait()` on it.
- `client.optionBook.fillOrder()` same — returns receipt, already waited internally.
- r12 settlement is automatic via `notifyTradeSettled`. There is NO zero-arg `BaseOption.payout()` write call — SDK ≥ 0.2.4 throws `INVALID_PARAMS` on the legacy method. Read `client.option.getOptionInfo(addr).settled` for status; use `client.option.calculatePayout(addr, settlementPrice)` (view) for amounts.
- `client.option.reclaimCollateral(optionAddress, ownedOption)` and `client.loan.reclaimCollateral(...)` are now payable — the SDK reads `getReclaimFee(ownedOption)` and forwards as `msg.value`. Don't call the raw contract or you'll forget the fee.
- `client.loan.splitOption(optionAddress, amount)` is payable — SDK reads `getSplitFee()` and forwards as `msg.value`.
- `client.collar` exists but the `CollarLoanCoordinator` is a zero address on Base — write methods throw `NETWORK_UNSUPPORTED` until collar-v12 deploys. Pricing/estimation (`estimateCollar`, `getCapStrikeOptions`) works today.
- `client.optionFactory` lost referral/admin surface in 0.2.4: `getOfferSignature`, `getPendingFees`, `getReferralOwner`, `withdrawFees`, `renounceOwnership`, `transferOwnership` no longer exist.
- `client.vault.trigger()` removed in 0.2.4.
- `RFQBuilderParams.requesterPublicKey?: string` was added — `requestLoan()` auto-resolves it via `client.rfqKeys.getOrCreateKeyPair()`. Only set explicitly for viem/wagmi integrations using `encodeRequestLoan`.
- `validateAddress(addr, field)` now RETURNS the EIP-55 checksummed form (previously returned void). Legacy ignore-return callsites still work.
- `client.erc20.getBalance(token, address)` returns `Promise<bigint>`.
- `client.erc20.getAllowance(token, owner, spender)` returns `Promise<bigint>`.
- Strikes use 8 decimals internally. USDC uses 6, WETH uses 18.
- `OrderWithSignature` has NO root-level `collateralToken` field. Use `order.rawApiData?.collateral` or `order.order?.collateralToken` (both are address strings).
- `Order.strikePrice` is deprecated. Use `order.order.strikes?.[0]` going forward.
- `RFQBuilderParams.requester` is typed `\`0x${string}\``. Cast string addresses with `as \`0x${string}\``.
- `RFQBuilderParams.strikes` is `number | number[]`. The deprecated `strike` field still works but emits a warning — prefer passing `strikes: single` or `strikes: [...]`.
- `optionFactory.encodeRequestForQuotation()` returns `{ to, data }` only — no `value` field. RFQ transactions are value-zero.
## Deskill-card.md
## Description: Trade crypto options on Thetanuts Finance with orderbook fills, RFQ lifecycle support, multi-strike structures, real-time market data, wallet management, early settlement, and referrer fees. This skill is ready for commercial/non-commercial use. ## Publisher: [goheesheng](https://clawhub.ai/user/goheesheng) ### License/Terms of Use: MIT-0 ## Use Case: External users and developers use this skill to explore Thetanuts Finance crypto options markets, manage a local wallet, inspect balances and positions, build RFQs, prepare approvals, and execute supported orderbook or RFQ trading workflows. ### Deployment Geography for Use: Global ## Known Risks and Mitigations: Risk: The skill handles wallet seeds and can prepare or run transaction-signing flows. Mitigation: Use only a dedicated low-value wallet, treat the local .env seed as highly sensitive, and review transaction details before signing or broadcasting. Risk: The updater can change code that signs transactions. Mitigation: Run updates only after explicit user consent and verify the update source and changes before applying them. Risk: Token approvals may allow contracts to spend more funds than the immediate trade requires. Mitigation: Prefer exact approval amounts, verify spender addresses, and review approvals carefully before confirming. ## Reference(s): - [ClawHub Skill Page](https://clawhub.ai/goheesheng/skills/thetanuts) - [Thetanuts Finance](https://thetanuts.finance) - [Thetanuts SDK](https://github.com/Thetanuts-Finance/thetanuts-sdk) - [Thetanuts OpenClaw Repository](https://github.com/Thetanuts-Finance/thetanuts-openclaw) - [Tether WDK](https://docs.wdk.tether.io) - [OpenClaw Docs](https://docs.openclaw.ai/) ## Skill Output: **Output Type(s):** [text, markdown, shell commands, configuration, guidance] **Output Format:** [Markdown guidance with inline shell commands and structured command output summaries] **Output Parameters:** [1D] **Other Properties Related to Output:** [May guide wallet, approval, RFQ, and trade execution flows; transaction-related actions require user review and explicit confirmation.] ## Skill Version(s): 1.5.4 (source: server release metadata and manifest.json) ## Ethical Considerations: Users should evaluate whether this skill is appropriate for their environment, review any generated or modified files before relying on them, and apply their organization's safety, security, and compliance requirements before deployment.
