# xiaohongshu-cli — Xiaohongshu CLI Tool

## Setup

## Authentication

**IMPORTANT FOR AGENTS**: Before executing ANY xhs command, check if credentials exist first. Do NOT assume cookies are configured.

### Step 0: Check if already authenticated

### Step 1: Guide user to authenticate

Ensure user is logged into xiaohongshu.com in one of: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave. Then:

### Step 2: Handle common auth issues

Mitigation: Do not parallelize requests; respect built-in delays and pause for browser captcha completion when verification is required.

Risk: Integration tests and real API workflows may contact Xiaohongshu with live credentials.

Mitigation: Do not run integration tests casually; run only in an intentional test environment with credentials suitable for that purpose.
