# Gmail

Operate **Gmail** through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the `gmail` connector with the [oo CLI](https://github.com/oomol-lab/oo-cli); OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

## Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Gmail. **Do not run `oo auth login` or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action.** Fall back to [First-time setup](#first-time-setup) only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

**1. Inspect the contract** to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

**2. Run the action** with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

- `--data` takes a JSON object string or `@path/to/file.json`; omit it to send `{}`.
- The response is `{ "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }`; the execution id lives under `meta.executionId`.

Each action is listed below with a one-line description; actions that change state carry a `[write]` or `[destructive]` tag. Before constructing `--data`, fetch the action's live schema with `oo connector schema` to get its authoritative input fields.

## Available actions

- `add_label_to_email` — Add and/or remove labels on a single Gmail message. Provide at least one label mutation and use label IDs from `list_labels`. [write]
- `batch_modify_messages` — Add and/or remove labels on up to 1,000 Gmail messages in one request. Use this for bulk archive, mark-as-read, or custom label workflows. [write]
- `create_draft` — Create a Gmail draft with a simplified input and output shape. Returns the stable draft ID and current message and thread IDs. [write]
- `create_email_draft` — Create a Gmail draft with recipients, subject, body, and optional threading. Supply replyToMessageId or threadId to draft a reply; this requires mailbox read access. Omitted subject and recipients are inherited from the reply target. [write]
- `create_filter` — Create a Gmail filter with matching criteria and resulting actions. Use this to automatically organize incoming mail. [write]
- `create_label` — Create a new Gmail label and return its internal label ID. Use the returned ID in downstream label modification actions. [write]
- `delete_draft` — Permanently delete a Gmail draft by draft ID instead of sending it. [destructive]
