Install and run

Setup complexity: low.

clawhub skill install s170wrqqnm5nbbk85av1t8vdx1855dyb:dev-backup
  1. Setup complexity is classified as HIGH. You must provision dedicated cloud infrastructure or an isolated VM. Do not run this directly on your local workstation.
  2. Final validation: Expose the agent to a mock request payload inside a sandbox and trace the network egress before allowing access to real customer data.

Contract: missing

# dev-backup

Snapshot the current state of a named project for safe rollback.

## Explicit Command Usage

**Trigger validi (solo questi):**

## Comandi

```bash
# Backup any project
SCRIPT_DIR="$(cd "$(dirname "${BASH_SOURCE[0]}")" && pwd)"
bash "$SCRIPT_DIR/dev-backup.sh" <project-name> --project-dir /path/to/your/project
# Example: backup a "my-app" project
bash "$SCRIPT_DIR/dev-backup.sh" my-app --project-dir /home/user/projects/my-app
# No --project-dir? Uses the current working directory
cd /home/user/projects/my-app
bash "$SCRIPT_DIR/dev-backup.sh" my-app
```

## Naming

Snapshots are named per project:

- **my-app-snapshot-1**, **my-app-snapshot-2**, …
- **another-project-snapshot-1**, **another-project-snapshot-2**, …

Each project tracks its own counter independently.

## Excluded from snapshot

- `.git`, `node_modules`, `.vite`, `.cache`, `*.log`, `.env`, `backups/`

## Restore (🔴 DISTRUTTIVO — LEGGERE PRIMA)

> **⛔ PERICOLO: QUESTA OPERAZIONE È DISTRUTTIVA.**
>
> Il restore **sovrascrive TUTTI i file esistenti** nel progetto target con lo stato dello snapshot.
> - Qualsiasi modifica non salvata nel progetto verrà **PERDUTA DEFINITIVAMENTE**.
> - File nuovi creati dopo l'ultimo backup verranno eliminati.
> - File modificati localmente verranno sovrascritti senza preavviso.
>
> **SEMPRE eseguire `--dry-run` PRIMA del restore reale.**

```bash
# 🔴 STEP 1: Dry-run OBBLIGATORIO (mostra cosa verrebbe sovrascritto)
bash "$SCRIPT_DIR/dev-backup.sh" my-app --restore --dry-run --project-dir /path/to/your/project
# 🔴 STEP 2: Solo se dry-run è accettabile, esegui il restore
bash "$SCRIPT_DIR/dev-backup.sh" my-app --restore --project-dir /path/to/your/project
# Restore latest snapshot
bash "$SCRIPT_DIR/dev-backup.sh" my-app --restore --project-dir /
README.md
# dev-backup
Crea snapshot dei progetti in sviluppo per avere un punto di rollback.
## ⚠️ AVVERTENZE IMPORTANTI
- **Il restore è DISTRUTTIVO**: sovrascrive i file esistenti nel progetto target senza preavviso.
- **Prima del restore, esegui SEMPRE `--dry-run`** per verificare cosa verrà modificato.
- Gli snapshot vecchi vengono eliminati dalla retention senza conferma aggiuntiva.
## A cosa serve
- Backup prima di cambiamenti rischiosi o refactoring
- Snapshot dello stato attuale del progetto (solo con comando esplicito)
- Ripristino rapido in caso di problemi (con conferma esplicita)
- Ogni progetto ha la sua numerazione indipendente
## Come funziona
Il comando crea una copia completa del progetto in `backups/` con un nome progressivo:
```
my-app-snapshot-1
my-app-snapshot-2
another-project-snapshot-1
another-project-snapshot-2
```
Ogni progetto conta separatamente (my-app non influenza another-project).
Gli snapshot escludono: `.git`, `node_modules`, `.vite`, `.cache`, `*.log`, `.env`, `backups/`
Un symlink `.latest` nella cartella backups punta sempre allo snapshot più recente.
## Comandi per l'agente
⚠️ **ATTIVAZIONE SOLO CON COMANDI ESPPLICITI.** Non attivare per frasi casuali dove "backup" appare nella conversazione.
**Trigger validi (solo questi):**
- **"Fai un backup manuale di [nome-progetto]"** → crea snapshot
- **"Esegui backup di [nome-progetto]"** → crea snapshot
- **"Backup di [nome-progetto]"** → crea snapshot
**NON attivare con:**
- `"Salva lo stato attuale"` (troppo ambiguo)
- `"Fai un backup dello sviluppo"` (non specifica il progetto)
- Frasi dove "backup" appare casualmente nella conversazione
## Comandi manuali
### Creare un backup
```bash
# Sintassi:
bash <percorso-skill>/dev-backup.sh <nome-progetto> --project-dir <percorso-app>

# Esempio con un progetto generico:
bash /path/to/skills/dev-backup/scripts/dev-backup.sh my-app --project-dir /home/user/projects/my-app

# Esempio con un altro progetto:
bash /path/to/skills/dev-backup/scripts/dev-backup.sh another-project --project-dir /home/user/projects/another-project
```
### Ripristinare un backup (🔴 DISTRUTTIVO)
> **⛔ ATTENZIONE:** Il restore sovrascrive TUTTI i file nel progetto target.
> Qualsiasi modifica non salvata verrà **PERDUTA DEFINITIVAMENTE**.
**STEP 1 — Dry-run OBBLIGATORIO:** Verifica cosa verrà sovrascritto senza eseguire:
```bash
bash /path/to/skills/dev-backup/scripts/dev-backup.sh my-app --restore --dry-run --project-dir /home/user/projects/my-app
```
**STEP 2 — Eseguire il restore (solo dopo aver verificato con dry-run):**
```bash
bash /path/to/skills/dev-backup/scripts/dev-backup.sh my-app --restore --project-dir /home/user/projects/my-app
```
> **Non usare `cp -r` direttamente per il restore.** Usa sempre lo script che gestisce la conferma interattiva e l'integrità dello snapshot.
### Verificare gli snapshot
```bash
ls -la <backups-dir>/
```
skill-card.md
## Description:
Dev Backup creates named project snapshots for rollback and provides explicit backup, list, and destructive restore commands.
This skill is ready for commercial/non-commercial use.
## Publisher:
[vincsta](https://clawhub.ai/user/vincsta)
### License/Terms of Use:
MIT-0
## Use Case:
Developers and engineers use Dev Backup to create rollback snapshots before risky changes or refactoring, list existing snapshots, and restore a selected project snapshot after an explicit request.
### Deployment Geography for Use:
Global
## Known Risks and Mitigations:
Risk: Restore operations can overwrite local project files and may not remove files created after a snapshot.
Mitigation: Run restore only on trusted project paths, preview with --dry-run first, and keep an independent copy of important unsaved work before confirming restore.
Risk: Backups and restores read and write whole project directories.
Mitigation: Limit use to intended development project directories and review the target project and output paths before running commands.
Risk: Snapshots with missing or mismatched checksums may be corrupted or altered.
Mitigation: Avoid restoring snapshots when checksum verification is missing or reports a mismatch unless the project owner has manually inspected the snapshot.
Risk: The tar fallback and local shell execution path can carry file-safety and command-execution risk.
Mitigation: Prefer environments with rsync available, inspect commands before execution, and use the skill only from trusted releases.
